Chocolate Chip Cookies – by DreamypleasuresIngredients·1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened·½ cup vegetable oil·¾ cup sugar·1 ¾ cups firmly packed brown sugar·3 large eggs·1 teaspoon vanilla extract·3 ¾ cups all purpose flour·2 teaspoons baking soda·1 teaspoon salt·1 1/2 cups chocolate chipsDirectionsPreheat oven to 350 degrees F.Lightly grease baking sheets.With an electric mixer, beat butter at medium speed until creamy.Gradually add sugars and oil, beating until fluffy.Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture beating until blended.Stir in chocolate chips.Drop cookies in 2 inch balls about 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets.Bake cookies at 350 degrees F for 11 to 12 minutes or until browned.Let cool for 2 minutes on baking sheets.Remove to wire racks to cool.This recipe makes approximately 7 dozen 2 ½” to 3” cookies.TipsSift flour after measuring – this makes a lighter cookie.Use Pam or regular vegetable oil to grease pans.Scrape bowl down during mixing process.June 2009www.dreamypleasures.com
